The Boston University School of Law (BU Law) is the law school of Boston University, a private research university in Boston. Established in 1872, it is the third-oldest law school in New England, after Harvard Law School and Yale Law School. Approximately 630 students are enrolled in the full-time J.D. degree program (approximately 210 per class) and about 350 in the school's five LLM degree programs. BU Law was one of the first law schools in the country to admit students to study law regardless of race or gender.

New York University School of Law (NYU Law) is the law school of New York University. Established in 1835, it is the oldest law school in New York City. The school offers J.D., LL.M., and J.S.D. degrees in law, and is located in Greenwich Village, in downtown Manhattan.

NYU Law is perenially regarded as one of the top 10 most prestigious and selective law schools in the United States. U.S. News & World Report currently ranks NYU Law 6th in the nation, and has ranked the law school as high as 4th in recent years. NYU Law is especially renowned for its strength in international law and tax law, and has been consistently ranked 1st in the country by U.S. News & World Report in both areas. Additionally, NYU Law is ranked in the top 5 law schools in the world in the QS World University Rankings. The latest edition of University of Chicago Professor Brian Leiter's ranking of the top law schools by student quality places NYU Law 4th (behind Columbia, ahead of Chicago) out of the 144 accredited schools in the United States.

According to New York University School of Law's 2013 ABA-required disclosures, 93.7% of the Class of 2013 obtained full-time, long-term, JD-required employment nine months after graduation.

Cooley Law School Michigan University

The University of Michigan Law School (Michigan Law) is the law school of the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor. Founded in 1859, the school offers Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), and Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) degree programs. The school has an enrollment of about 920 as well as 81 full-time faculty members (60 tenured and tenure-track and 21 in clinical and legal practice).
Michigan Law School consistently ranks among the highest-rated law schools in the United States and the world. In the 2019 U.S. News ranking, Michigan Law is ranked 9th overall. Notable alumni include U.S. Supreme Court Justices Frank Murphy, William Rufus Day, and George Sutherland, as well as a number of heads of state and corporate executives. More than 170 Michigan law graduates have served in the United States Congress, including 20 United States Senators and more than 150 Congressional representatives. Additionally, numerous graduates have served as state legislators.
